This place is a lot different than I imagined. We have been very productive finding art to send back to the states and I have my hands full with the cameras.
Today we went for a drive around the southern coast looking for carved stone sculptures. We managed to cram 8 of us into a minivan. We had to take a detour because there was a beached whale that they were removing from the beach and the road was blocked off. Didn't see the whale but the stench was god
awful. We went to the southern part of South Africa where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic meet.

Here is a local on the beach across from our hotel.

Sunset last night.

View from my balcony in the evening.

Coast of South Africa.

They carved into this mountain to make room for the road. The road was right on the edge of the mountain and was very narrow.

Stone carved statue shop. Enclosed with a fence and barbed wire.

Penguins. We also saw whales on the coast too.

Todd Nelson (owner of Kalahari Resorts) making some selections.

Beautiful.
