Well, Brad finally convinced me to update the bog! I don' know if anyone has noticed, but since Brad has become a slave to
facebook the blog has been somewhat neglected. Thus he continually hounds me to update the blog. It has been a a crazy 1 1/2 months to say the least. I start work tomorrow at the Meadows Nursing Home which will be a provisional position as I will be filling in for a social worker who is on maternity leave. I have been applying for jobs, but there is little out there. I had surgery a little over 2 weeks ago to have a polyp removed from my vocal cord. Hopefully the surgery cured the recurrent hoarseness I was experiencing.
Kaya and I went to Utah to visit family and help clean and organize my brother/parent's house.
Kaya enjoyed playing with his cousins & the 2 dogs & spending time with his grandparents, uncles & aunt. Most of the days I was busy cleaning, but I did manage to get out on the slopes at
Sundance and board for an afternoon. The weather was in
the upper 60's the first several days and then snowed that last few days.
Kaya enjoys eating apples with his cousins, Nick and
Iya. Nick tried to
convince Kaya that he was in fact his uncle rather than cousin because he is 15 years older than
Kaya.
Kaya and
Iya enjoy playing with the dogs in the driveway.
Kaya really enjoys being around dogs and took a real liking to
Beamer who is the small dog. Sorry Owen and Tara, I forgot what kind of dog
Beamer is.
Kaya couldn't wait to get out of the house and do some exploring on the
mountain with his cousins,
Cappis &
Iya.

My brother Orrin, brother Owen and his wife Tara, their 4 children & dog and my momma pose for a pic before Tara and the kids head back to Arizona.
Kaya being restless and his cousins.

Hot
mommas- Erica and Tara
Kaya spending some quality time with uncle, I mean cousin Nick while enjoying some ice cream.
Spring cleaning, WHAT!! We filled 6 of these trailers full of stuff from the house & garage. 2 went to the dump, 2 to DI (thrift store) and 2 to church garage sale. My brother attempted to figure out the square footage of junk we hauled off... I think he still might be calculating as there is still probably 2 more trailers of stuff in the house and garage that needs to go!

This is the view from the house! Breathtaking....

This is the neighbors house where
Kaya enjoyed spending time playing with Anna & Max.
Kaya really liked going down the slide and jumping on the tramp. Since our trip, I have observed
Kaya singing sweet nothings to Anna as he inserts her name into the song he is singing. Way cute:)
Thankfully, the Chicago
O'Hare Airport had a children's
museum for
Kaya to stretch his legs in as we had a 2 hour layover. There is nothing like running into family in the airport.
Kaya and I were on the same flight as Aunt Peggy and Uncle Roger, they were coming back from Vegas.
